NOELANI PERRY

Noelani Perry is currently a graduate student at Belhaven University where she studies violin performance with Song Xie. She began her violin studies at the age of four and continuing her studies with Mary C. Irwin through middle school and high school. At age 16, Noelani began her college studies at Belhaven University. There she was awarded the Dr. Skip and Tay Wise Scholarship, which is awarded to one music student per four year term, as well as being the recipient of many awards such as the "Exemplary String" award and "Music Service" award, many of which she earned within her first two years of school. Noelani is a regular performer in her community as she performs regularly with string ensembles throughout Jackson, MS, the Mississippi Symphony Orchestra and is Principal 2nd for First Baptist Church of Jackson Orchestra.
Her musical pursuits earned her an opportunity to be selected as one of seven U.S. ambassadors to St. Petersburg, Russia on behalf of First Baptist Church of Jackson in 2020, where she participated in a festival called "Epiphany Nights." Not only was she a section leader, but was also a featured soloist at many events.
Noelani was a finalist at Masterworks Festival Concerto Competition in 2021 and she performed her first concerto with the Piedmont Symphony Orchestra at age 16.
Noelani has performed in masterclasses and lessons with many prominent violinists, including Will Hagen and Tai Murray.
