MASTER CAMERATA ORCHESTRA

The Master Camerata orchestra stands as the pinnacle ensemble at POI, featuring our faculty members and pre-college/college-level students.

Each summer, we are honored to welcome a guest conductor. In 2024, the Master Camerata will be led by Maestro Mikhail Zemtzov.

Within the string section, students have the great opportunity to learn in real-time by collaborating closely with their professors and other seasoned musicians during rehearsals and performances. This professional atmosphere provides invaluable preparation for aspiring musicians, and we welcome participants of all ages with no age limit."

POI VIRTUOSI

POI Virtuosi is an ensemble for middle school and high school level. This ensemble is conducted by Maria Camila Patiño

Students will have the opportunity to engage in daily lessons and rehearsals, benefit from sectional rehearsals and master classes led by POI Faculty, and showcase their talents at the closing concert of POI, all while enjoying a fun and enriching experience!

High school students seeking college opportunities will have the chance to connect with some of Mississippi's top music school programs, gaining insights into their application processes and program offerings!

DA CAPO

Da Capo Strings Orchestra is perfect for students who are transitioning from the beginner level to the next, having a more in depth orchestra training, keep improving their instrument technique, all while enjoying a fun and rewarding experience!

Students will have the opportunity to engage in daily lessons and rehearsals, benefit from sectional rehearsals and master classes led by POI Faculty, and showcase their talents at the closing concert of POI, all while enjoying a fun and enriching experience!

Young Haydns is like a musical treasure chest for beginner students! It's where you'll find all the cool tools to help you on your musical journey. You'll get to discover exciting new music that will make you even better at playing your instrument!
